After months of renovations, Apple’s flagship store in Sydney is reopening to customers. With customers welcome to visit the store from Thursday, 28th May at 10 am. But with limited hours and social distancing rules in place.
Apple Sydney closed its doors to customers on January 5th, almost 5 months ago. Its closure was for ‘creative updates’, which is expected to be that in which Apple Bondi received last year.
Potential updates include:
- Large Video Wall for ‘Today at Apple sessions’
- Upgraded product tables and accessory walls
- New floor tiles and materials
- Wooden and leather seating
Living Wall (Nature green wall)- Removal of ‘Genius Bar’
The refresh for the store is quite significant considering the store is one of the biggest and busiest Apple Retail stores in Australia. It was also the first store to be opened by Apple, back in 2008.
Reopening Details
Apple Sydney will reopen with Apple’s COVID-19 safety procedures in place from Thursday 28th May 2020 from 10 am. However Today at Apple sessions (which much of the store would have been renovated for) remains suspended temporarily.
