iMac Pro being discontinued, available ‘While stocks last’

New 2017 Apple iMac Pro with Monitors

Apple has updated their online store to announce that the iMac Pro is available only ‘While stocks last’. And confirming that once stock dries up the iMac Pro will no longer be available.

iMac Pro was announced back in 2017 and released in December of that year. And was designed for those who need a desktop computer that is packed with some of the most powerful processors and hardware. But since its release Apple has released the powerful Mac Pro. And the consumer-level 27-inch iMac is approaching the capabilities of the iMac Pro.

Up until recently, iMac Pro could be configured in a variety of ways, including a processor with up to 18-cores! However, Apple has stopped offering configurations for iMac Pro and is now only selling one model, while stocks last. It includes:

  • 3.0GHz 10-core Intel Xeon W processor
  • Turbo Boost up to 4.5GHz
  • 32GB of 2666MHz ECC memory, configurable up to 256GB
  • 1TB of SSD storage¹
  • Radeon Pro Vega 56 with 8GB of HBM2 memory
  • 10Gb Ethernet
  • Four Thunderbolt 3 ports
  • 27-inch 5120-by-2880 P3 Retina 5K display

iMac Pro is priced at A$7,299 from Apple online with free delivery and returns. Or at A$6,709 with educational pricing, a saving of A$590!

Update: iMac Pro has completely sold out and is no longer available for purchase from Apple.
